Lakewood Ranch's New Fall Nights Are on Main Street. The Entertainment District Is a 2027 Story.

October 15, 2026

As of October 8, 2026, Lakewood Ranch has two kinds of new places. The ones on Lakewood Main Street are already open and serving. Most of the ones on Professional Parkway are still job sites, and their opening dates moved again in September. Between now and Thanksgiving, a new night out here will mostly mean Main Street and Waterside Place. The one big building opening this fall is Life Time. It opens Monday, and you need a membership to get in.

Main Street got its fall additions early

Main Street's two newest tenants opened over the summer, and both are run by people who were already in business here.

Delany's Public House opened July 23 at 8110 Lakewood Main St. Longtime Main Street regulars know the space. McAllister's, a Scottish-themed restaurant, was there from 2006 to 2020, and McGrath's Kitchen & Cocktails, an Irish-themed spot, followed until it closed in 2025. The new owners are from Ireland and run several restaurants in New York City. They first moved to the area to open Allswell Craft Cocktails & Kitchen at Waterside Place, so Delany's is their second spot in Lakewood Ranch.

The Bradenton Herald's opening-week review listed these prices:

  • Appetizers: $9 to $19
  • Irish classics like fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and bangers and mash: mostly $18 to $25
  • Dinner entrees: $19 to $38, including a lamb shank braised for eight hours
  • Sunday roast: $35, with top sirloin, Yorkshire pudding and Guinness gravy. It's served from 4 p.m. on Sundays until it sells out.

A few doors down, Bread Bandits opened in August at 8130 Lakewood Main St., Suite 103. The bakery started in Sarasota in 2023, and before it had a Main Street storefront it was a regular vendor at the Lakewood Ranch Farmers' Market. Its bread uses a 120-year-old sourdough starter from co-founder Jules Thuet's family bakery in Toronto, made with flour imported from France. The Lakewood Ranch shop also sells pastries and has a small gift area.

Both businesses already had local customers before they signed a lease, so they could open on schedule this summer. The newest projects on the other side of town haven't followed that pattern.

Monday's one big arrival is a club

Life Time Lakewood Ranch's official page says it is "Arriving October 12," which is this coming Monday. The club is at 5000 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. N. It is the only big new building in the district opening this fall. According to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune's July report, it is the chain's ninth Florida club and its first in the Sarasota-Manatee market.

"The community has been calling out for a club of its own," Life Time Lakewood Ranch general manager Steve Datte told the Herald-Tribune.

Here is what the 86,000-square-foot building includes, based on the Herald-Tribune's report:

  • Pickleball: 14 courts, 3 of them indoors, surrounded by lounges, seating and a bistro
  • Pools: a leisure pool with waterslides and two lap pools
  • Studios: five boutique-style studios for reformer Pilates, barre, yoga and group fitness
  • LifeSpa: skincare, body treatments, hair and nail services, plus chiropractic care
  • Kids Academy: child care for ages 3 months to 11 years, with up to 2.5 hours a day included in junior memberships

When that report ran on July 15, 2026, official pricing hadn't been released. The company said individual memberships would likely cost about $140 to $400 a month. The club's location page now invites people to join before opening and get preopening benefits. In March, Your Observer reported that membership will be limited and that the club expects about 200 employees.

The extra pickleball courts are a real addition to the area. The club is still members-only, though. For anyone not joining, it doesn't add a place to go on a Friday night.

Professional Parkway, building by building

Lakewood Ranch Commercial planned an entertainment district on the Sarasota County side of the Ranch years ago, and it is now going up along Professional Parkway. This is where each piece stood in early October:

Venue Where What's planned Status as of October 8, 2026
Urban Air Adventure Park Professional Parkway Trampolines, mini-carts for ages 7 and under, climbing, laser tag, ninja course Open since September 2025
Backyard Social 6400 Professional Pkwy., just south of Urban Air Food trucks, bar, games, coffee shop, lawn stage for bands Moved from mid-November 2026 to early 2027
SkyTrack Family Entertainment Center Directly north of Urban Air Three-story electric go-kart track, bowling, arcade, restaurant, bars Spring 2027, per its website

Urban Air has been carrying the district by itself. At 60,000 square feet, it's the largest of the roughly 400 Urban Air locations in the country. It also skipped go-karts on purpose and left those to SkyTrack, a sign that the neighboring owners planned the district as a set.

Backyard Social's date is the one that changed. In March, the owners were aiming for mid-November 2026. Their foundation hadn't been poured yet. On September 18, a spokesperson told the Bradenton Herald the company is now looking at early 2027, with no specific date. The Lakewood Ranch Beacon reported the same change three days later. The company's own website still says "Winter 2026." The page has no date on it, so the spokesperson's statement is the more recent information.

When it opens, the plan described in March includes:

  • All ages until 9 p.m., then 21 and older. Games include duckpin bowling, darts, shuffleboard, cornhole and a golf simulator.
  • A 12,500-square-foot building that can open up or close fully with air conditioning, depending on the weather.
  • A tiki bar and a 6,000-square-foot stage for live music on the lawn.
  • Food trucks parked outside full time instead of a kitchen. In March, the lineup was Gigi Gourmet, Gigi's Chicken Coop, Gyros2Go, Lobster Chef and Box Car Cantina. The Beacon's September story said that list may have changed.

SkyTrack broke ground March 10. Its go-kart track will run more than half a mile across three stories, with electric karts that reach 27 miles per hour. The plans also include a 16-lane bowling alley, more than 85 arcade and virtual reality games, indoor mini golf, a full-service restaurant and two bars. Your Observer gave a projected opening of May 1, 2027, and the company's site now says "Spring 2027." Co-owner Jennifer Alokeh explained the idea to Your Observer: "Lakewood Ranch has rapidly grown and has become one of the best places to live, but there's no bowling alley or go-karts."

The district as a whole is expected to be finished by early summer 2027. For the rest of 2026, that leaves Urban Air and a new club on that stretch of road.

Where the fall calendar already lands

The dated events through mid-November are almost all at Main Street, Waterside Place and Waterside Park, the same places that are already open. All dates are 2026, from the Lakewood Ranch community events list and the organizers' own pages:

  • Friday, Oct. 9: Movie in the Park at Waterside Park, 6 to 9 p.m., free. It runs every second Friday. That same evening, Waterside Place's Sights + Sounds series presents Asolo Rep's Shakespeare 45 at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 10: Lakewood Ranch Main Street Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sundays, including Oct. 11, 18 and 25: The Waterside Place Farmers' Market has more than 100 vendors, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 1560 Lakefront Drive. These three Sundays have live music scheduled.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 14: Ranch Nite Wednesdays, 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 24: Dogs Inc. holds a grand-opening open house for its visitor center at 5815 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28: The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance's 37th Annual Hob Nob BBQ, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lakewood Ranch Library.

  • Friday, Nov. 13: The 26th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on Main Street, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. That evening, Sights + Sounds brings the Circus Arts Conservatory to Waterside Place at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 14: Main Street Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Nov. 6 Music on Main falls on a Friday, so a night out could include Delany's. Bread Bandits is open on Saturday mornings during Main Street Market weekends.
